A mean of codes

A colleague processed a questionnaire and wrote in the report:

On average, respondents come from region 4.1. To the question of how often they use AI when studying, they answered 2.63 on average, so students use AI 2.63 times on average.

In the data, the regions are coded with the numbers 1 to 8 (1 = Bratislava Region, …, 8 = Košice Region). The AI question had the answers 1 = never, 2 = once a month, 3 = once a week, 4 = daily.

Explain what is wrong with both sentences and propose what you would use in the report to describe each of the variables instead of the mean.
